The Maxims of the Tribalist Way of Life

The Maxims of the Tribalist Way of Life

1. Wisdom cannot be owned by just one man. Wisdom comes from as many sources as water does. Seek these well-springs with all your heart and there you will find God and yourself.

2. Pure reliance on the Creator is the attainment of this human life, and a lesser form is self-reliance or self-sufficiency. In other words, trust in the generosity of God first and foremost, trust in yourself and your abilities, and try to borrow less and less and less, for you will live more freely.

3. Accept death as naturally as accepting life, for both are inseparable. Do not be among the ignorant who fear death. Instead, live in such a way that the fear of death does not reach you.

4. Eliminate fear and probability with certainty and honor.

5. Serve your parents, serve your parents, serve your parents, or people who are like parents to you! This is among the highest religion. If we can submit to our parent figures in humility, courtesy, and respect, then we can serve anyone.

6. Be sparing in words and brave in action, so that when it is your hour to commit bold and noble actions, you will not be unprepared.

7.. Avoid useless, idle speech and teach the tongue not to gossip. Listen more and talk less, for the wise listens that they may learn. Your strength in silence will also protect you from a wide variety of hardships.

8. Avoid giving advice or wisdom to those who do not ask for them.

9. Generosity and hospitality are crowning virtues of a good person. What is saved for friends is often wasted on enemies. One's house should be viewed as sacred ground, and the relationship between guest and host as a sacred relationship. An open hand of generosity is a sign of wisdom, of self-control, so give to those who ask of you and if you have nothing to give then give a sincere smile and a kind word.

10. Loyalty is a quality that is difficult to find today. People are many, but the loyal are few. Do not be lowered by what others are doing. Befriend those with loyalty for they will be for you a life-preserver in a time of need. Develop undying loyalty in your heart for your Creator, your family, your friends, your tribe, yourself. Loyalty is truly tested when it is time to share the burden of difficulty.

11. Life is about balance. One cannot say that love is useless, or that anger is useless. The key is avoiding extremes. Many positive things are built with love, and much gets done in this world with anger, directed in a proper way. We are called by God to be peaceful, and we are called by the world to be warriors. In between there is a balance; the struggle for the warrior is learning when to attack, when to retreat, and when to hold your ground. The struggle for the compassionate is learning how to love and also respect yourself and not let others walk all over you and use you.

12. If one finds one's self lucky enough to find a good friend, be good to them, be a good listener, be kind to them, share your possessions with them, don't be so quick to tell them your troubles, and take the time to call upon your friend from time to time. In receiving, give as much. In this way you will win a friend for life.

13. Most importantly, seek God, seek the Creator, though your view of God may not be the same as the next man's view. Look for him throughout the Earth, in the great spiritual books of humanity, and look for him in your heart.

14. Avoid those who detract from your spiritual practice, avoid bad company, and avoid those who make fun of your beliefs.

15. The drum is sacred. All peoples from all parts of the world have found the beauty and power of the drum. Drumming is a form of prayer. Drumming clears the mind and reduces stress. It opens the mind to the realm of spirit. The drum brings all beings together, including cats and dogs. We know from science that the brain measures sound waves, and that one can actually produce a desired state of mind with sound, be it fast or slow, and the drum is the easiest way to attain these temporary states. The indigenous peoples have known this since the beginning, yet the modern man is very forgetful.

PS: Wisdom is for the betterment of everyone.
